24k gold over brass, in mint restored condition. You will never have to wind a clock agian. This beautiful clock is wound by temperature change. Only one degree of temp. change will wind clock for 48 hours. These time pieces are very close to perpetual motion. Only need serviceing every twenty years. Truly a wonderful time piece. Circa 1960 9 1/2 tall x 8 1/2 wide x 6 1/2 deep
